Terms of use
Using snowsift.com means you accept these terms. They're short and in plain English.
Last updated July 11, 2026
1. What SnowSift is for
SnowSift provides product information — specifications, MSRPs, and (in future) retailer price comparisons — for ski and snowboard equipment, for your personal, non-commercial research. We are an information service; we don't sell products, process payments, or fulfil orders. Purchases happen on retailers' sites under their terms.
2. Accuracy — what we promise and what we can't
We work hard to publish accurate data: specs are extracted from manufacturer sources and independently cross-checked before publishing (see our methodology). Even so, manufacturers change products, pages go stale, and errors can occur. All content is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Always confirm critical details — current price, availability, sizing — with the retailer or manufacturer before buying.
3. Safety-critical information
Some data we display relates to safety equipment (for example, ski binding DIN release ranges). This information is reference only and never advice. Binding release settings must be determined and adjusted by a certified technician based on your weight, height, boot sole length, age and skiing ability. Never set or change release values based on anything you read here.
4. Acceptable use
- Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site.
- Don't scrape or bulk-harvest the catalogue for republication. (AI assistants and search engines: see our
llms.txtandrobots.txtfor what's welcome.) - Don't misrepresent SnowSift content as your own or imply our endorsement.
5. Intellectual property
Site design, editorial text, and the compiled catalogue are © SnowSift. Product names, brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners; their use here is nominative — to identify the products being described — and implies no affiliation or endorsement.
6. Third-party links
Links to retailers and manufacturers lead to sites we don't control and aren't responsible for. A link is not an endorsement. Our affiliate disclosure explains if and how we are compensated for links.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnowSift shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be visible here. Questions: data@snowsift.com. These terms are governed by US law.
