Blizzard Black Pearl 88 vs 94: Two 2027 Women's All-Mountain Skis
By Luke Judge · Published October 20, 2026
Key facts
- Black Pearl 88 vs 94
- 88mm vs 94mm waist at each ski's shortest length, a 6mm gap
- Both list a rocker-camber-rocker profile and the same core and construction names
- The 88 is published in six lengths (146–176cm); the 94 in five (152–176cm)
- Weight, radius, tip and tail widths are anchored to different lengths (146cm for the 88, 152cm for the 94), so they are listed but not compared
- Flex and MSRP are not displayed on snowsift.com for either ski
The Blizzard Black Pearl 88 and the Black Pearl 94 are both listed on SnowSift as 2026/27 women's all-mountain skis, and the cleanest difference between them is 6mm of waist: 88mm against 94mm. Both list a rocker-camber-rocker profile and the same core and construction names. Most of the other figures are anchored at different lengths, which limits what can honestly be compared.

Specs are manufacturer-published. Tip width, tail width, sidecut radius and weight change with length, so SnowSift quotes each at the ski's shortest published length: 146cm for the 88 and 152cm for the 94. Those are different lengths, so the rows are shown side by side above but are not a like-for-like comparison. Waist width is quoted at the same anchor lengths, but a ski's waist changes little with length, so a 6mm gap is a real difference.
What the sheets say
Waist is the clear difference. The 94 is 6mm wider underfoot than the 88, each at its shortest length. Nothing else in the table can be set against its neighbour without a caveat about length.
The figures that move with length. The 88 is listed at 1,450g per ski and an 11m radius at 146cm; the 94 at 1,550g and a 12.5m radius at 152cm. Because the anchor lengths differ by 6cm, the gaps in those rows mix the difference between the skis with the difference between the lengths. For what the numbers do and do not tell you, see ski weight numbers and ski turn radius explained.
Shared profile and build names. Both skis list a rocker-camber-rocker profile, a W.S.D. Trueblend All Mountain Woodcore core and a W.S.D. FluxForm All Mountain + Trueblend All Mountain construction. We report the names as listed and make no claim about how they behave on snow. For the profile itself, see the rocker, camber and flat guide.
Lengths differ at the short end. The 88 starts at 146cm, a length the 94 does not list. Both top out at 176cm. If you are sizing, how to choose ski length applies to both.
What snowsift.com does not show. Flex is not displayed for either ski, and neither shows an MSRP. This article therefore says nothing about stiffness or price.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between the Blizzard Black Pearl 88 and 94?
- The clearest difference is waist width: 88mm for the Black Pearl 88 and 94mm for the Black Pearl 94 at each ski's shortest length, a 6mm gap. A ski's waist changes little with length, so that gap is a real difference. Both are listed as 2026/27 women's all-mountain skis with a rocker-camber-rocker profile. Their other size-varying figures are anchored at different lengths (146cm and 152cm), so snowsift.com does not support a direct comparison of them.
- Which Black Pearl is wider, the 88 or the 94?
- The Black Pearl 94, at 94mm underfoot against 88mm for the Black Pearl 88.
- Do the Black Pearl 88 and 94 come in the same lengths?
- Not exactly. The Black Pearl 88 is published in 146, 152, 158, 164, 170 and 176cm. The Black Pearl 94 is published in 152, 158, 164, 170 and 176cm, so it has no 146cm length.
- Is the flex of the Black Pearl 88 or 94 published?
- Flex is not displayed on snowsift.com for either ski, so this article makes no claim about which is stiffer.
